Bieber is back and hit his first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. On August 28th the 21 year old released his big comeback single “What Do You Mean?”. Fans were anxious for Bieber’s single, and it finally came. The hit single proved to his fans that he worked hard to please them but even then everyone was overly content because it was better than what anyone expected.

Senior Maya Pierce expresses, “I thought his performance was very exciting, and it inspired me because he’s a very good artist and he deserves to be heard. I’m his number one fan; I love him, he did an amazing job!” He first performed his new single at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 30th and was rewarded with a standing ovation from his admiring fans. This was his first time back on stage in five years. Not only was this performance live and energetic but it was very emotional for Justin and his fans.

Freshman Rebecca Sanchez explained how Bieber’s emotional breakdown was sentimental and felt by his fans all over the world. “When Justin broke down at the end of his performance you felt it. You can tell the ovation truly got to him, and in the moment you just realize how grateful and appreciative he really is for all of the support that his fans are a part of.”

He kicked off his performance with “Where Are You Now” followed by his new single “What Do You Mean?” Justin levitated above the crowd flipping and soaring through his performance only to come back to thank the audience and end up in tears. After the performance was over, fans refused to sit back down. They knew Bieber was back and he meant business. Bieber poured his heart out throughout the whole performance and broke down when he saw his fans cheering him on like never before.

Bieber’s studio album is due out on November 13th  and is his first studio album out since three years. The album will feature the song “Where Are U Now” with Skrillex and Diplo along with the single “What Do You Mean”, Beiber is also expected to announce a world tour by the end of 2015.
